With Christmas approaching, the Mega Millions jackpot has reached $90 million ahead of the drawing on Friday, Dec. 19. This jackpot follows the Dec. 16 drawing, where no one matched all of the winning numbers.
If one lucky person hits the jackpot on Dec. 19, they can take home a one-time cash payment of $40.8 million.
The Mega Millions lottery had an eventful year in 2025, with six jackpot winners so far. The most recent winner, who claimed a $90 million prize, is from New Jersey and won on Dec. 2.

Once you have your ticket, you need to pick six numbers. Five of them will be white balls with numbers from 1 to 70. The gold Mega Ball ranges from 1 to 24.
